Animals in the Ukraine war – the forgotten
Help getting the next 50 dogs out of the war zone.
A project run by animal-happyend.ch

Project focus: Rescue left behind in Ukraine and support the receiving animal shelter in Hungary.

The terrible and unlawful war of aggression in Ukraine is causing great suffering to millions of people. The worldwide willingness to help and donate is as enormous as it is unique. “We Care. We Share.” also supports specific aid projects for people fleeing Ukraine.

Another distressed group that are badly affected are the animals. They are either killed or injured in hostilities, starve to death due to food shortages, or are left behind with heavy hearts by fleeing people and abandoned on the streets.

The few animal shelters that are still in operation are operating at the limit and are completely overcrowded. Animal rights activists work tirelessly and get the four-legged friends out of the war zone or try to improve the dramatic supply situation. Including our partner organization animal-happyend, which takes on many dangers and costs to rescue dogs from the Ukraine and bring them to an animal shelter in Hungary. The animal shelter in Kecskemét has been extensively supported by animal-happyend for years.

These brave drivers have brought the dogs in special transporters from the war zones to the animal-shelter in Hungary.

Before the dogs can be brought out of Ukraine they have to be vaccinated according to EU law.

The shelter in Hungary has been supported by animal-happyend since years. If possible, dogs are placed into loving hands of families or individuals in Switzerland.
