Access to clean water means healthy schoolchildren and a brighter future
Burkina Faso, Africa. Lacking access to drinking water causes many diseases and withholds communities from building a better future for their children. A project run by Helvetas, works with communities and schools to provide access to clean water and teaches children about the importance of good hygiene practice, making them “health ambassadors” in their families and villages.

Give a smile – Hospital clowns support little heroes during difficult times
Zurich, Switzerland. In the Zurich Children’s Hospital, infants, children and young people who are seriously ill, have had an accident or are chronically ill are hospitalized for a long time. With imagination, humor and empathy, the clowns accompany the children and families individually on their difficult path.

Support the people of Ukraine
The war in Ukraine is catastrophic for the Ukrainian people, and also directly impacts people in neighboring countries. Many refugees have had to leave everything behind, including their loved ones. Together with Helvetas, we support them with what is urgently needed. We support the local economy by subsidizing local restaurants and canteens to provide free meals to the fleeing people.

Animals in the Ukraine war – the forgotten
Besides the people from Ukraine, another distressed group, that are badly affected from the war, are the animals. They are either killed or injured in hostilities, starve to death, or are left behind with heavy hearts by fleeing people. We support animmal-happyend.ch to rescue left behind dogs, to transport them to an animal-shelter in Hungary and ideally find them a new loving home.
